    OVERVIEW
Teton Supply Co™ Teton-Bond™ 190 is a high-performance, ultra-fine mesh Petrobond* clay based foundry sand that is professionally formulated, produced, and quality inspected in the USA.
    APPLICATIONS
High-detail molds for precious and non-precious casting (non-ferrous metals including gold, silver, aluminum, brass, bronze, zinc, etc)
Use as a facing sand with other sand systems such as water-bonded greensand or coarser petrobond.
Note: this sand is OLIVINE based. Mixing large amounts of silica sand into this product (or vise versa) is not recommended.
    USE NOTES
-Sand should be riddled (broken up) prior to placing against pattern.
-Moderately heavy ramming or pressing is required for optimal mold performance.
-Appropriate pattern/parting compound should be used with all patterns to avoid sticking and to maximize detail reproduction (Teton-Part™ or similar is recommended)
    Cold Sensitivity (dry sand)
**IMPORTANT: THIS SAND IS COLD SENSITIVE. IT WILL BECOME DRY AND POWDERY IF EXPOSED TO COLD DURING SHIPPING OR STORAGE.
    -Use and store above 65F
-Regenerate as needed if exposed to cold.
    Regeneration
Regeneration can be accomplished quickly through using small amounts of isopropyl alcohol or heat.  See product label for details.
    Reuse Notes
This product can be mostly reused. However, some black crust is to be expected. Only the grey sand that feels "crispy" next to the casting should be discarded--the black section can be safely reused.
It is normal for a Teton-Bond™ pile to darken with use.
    Product Volume/Weight Info
