2009 District of Columbia Quarter Struck Thru Grease Mint Error Coin 25C UNC

Description

This is a 2009-P (Philadelphia) District of Columbia Quarter "Struck Thru Grease" Mint Error Coin in Uncirculated Condition. The strike thru appears on the left side of the reverse from the rim to the right arm (viewer's angle). This error occurs when there is too much grease in the die and the coin is struck leaving a mushy unfinished look. The coin overall is a typical looking uncirculated coin that came from a mint sealed bag with normal abrasions and contact marks. There is a little bit of yellowish tone on each side.
