    Description

    19th C. antique cast iron hitching post, in the shape of a tree trunk, with raised design of grape vines, leaves and grapes. There is a tie ring and also a star cutout on both sides. It measures in total 41" long x 5" across at the base x 4" across the top and is hollow. For temporary or permanent mounting, a concrete base or buried post/pipe can be used - depending on intended use.
    Incredibly heavy piece and in good condition; it had been professionally painted and could maybe be touched up in spots as there are paint chips.
    I've not seen exactly another like this piece, it will make a nice addition to your collection or as a garden accent.
