Four 69 inch antique granite columns carved stone rare

Description

Offered for auction are four antique carved granite columns. They measure about 69 - 69 1/4 inches tall by about 7 1/2 - 7 3/4 inches square at the base. The very tops have a short section which is carved in the round. They measure about 4 1/2 - 5 inches in diameter at the tops.
The bottom of the basses of several are not square to the sides but they will stand on flat ground. That said - to keep them from falling over on someone or a pet the bases should be secured in some way. It would be relatively easy to drill a hole in the bases and pin them to base plates for indoor use or pin them to base blocks for outdoor use.
These appear to date to the 19thc or earlier and are probably from India. The example on the right has a slightly different surface texture and degree of wear in addition to the traces of blue paint seen in the photographs. It may have originated in a different structure. Overall good condition with minor use chips and soiling. They are from the long stored inventory of an antiques dealer who had them priced at 0 each.
This is a pick up only auction or you arrange to have a shipper pick them up in Concord MA. They probably weigh about 300 pounds each. I can help load but you will need a strong back too.
